During literacy over the last few weeks year 4 have been focusing on balanced arguments and writing discussion texts. Today we put our skills to the test and had a class debate. In Science Year 1 have been learning about Plants. They planted some bean seeds in cups and recorded how they grew. Today they worked with Mrs Goodfellow to plant them outside. Making cross curricular links, the children also met one of their computing objectives by taking the photographs on the ipads by themselves!
Yesterday Year 1 spent a fabulous day at the George Stephenson Museum. The day was full of exciting activities. A huge thank you to our Reception parents for donating lots of cakes and serving at our cake sale. We raised a fantastic £89 at the cake sale. Our children made the most of the lovely sunshine today at lunchtime. They had lots of fun!
St Anne’s Catholic Primary School will be closed on Thursday 8th June 2017 for the General Election and on Friday 9th June 2017 for an INSET day.
Today Year 1 practiced their number bonds to 10 in a class relay. They worked as a team to complete the number bonds to ten as fast they could. Remember Year 1, keep practicing them at home!
