At St Anne’s we live our mission statement: Working together:in faith, learning and love.
To do this, we live, work and worship together, sharing a belief in the values of the Gospel. Our children have opportunities to explore their faith and spirituality and gain a deeper understanding of their valued place in todays society and that we are all part of God’s family. Children are educated in an environment that encourages them to question and explore what if? questions. As part of the Catholic life of the school, children learn to help others through their thoughts, words and actions. As part of this each class chooses a charity that they would like to work with throughout the year. This helps them develop empathy and understanding of others as well as enabling them to be part of active social justice. We also work in partnership with our parish community through our Mini Vinnie group and our joint food collections for the local food bank.
In Reception the children are helping the blind by raising money for the Guide Dog Appeal.
In Year 1 the children are helping children with Cerebral Palsy by raising money for the Heel and Toe charity.
In Year 2/3 the children are helping premature babies by raising money for the Tiny Lives charity.
In Year 4 the children are helping to raise money to help people with cancer by raising money for Cancer Research.
