From small beginnings, we are now one of the most popular and thriving Pre-Schools n the area. St Anne’s Pre-School opened in May 1992. Located within St Anne’s Catholic Primary School, we have 48 places for children with a choice of morning and afternoon sessions.
Children can attend from their second birthday, with Government funding available for all 3 and 4 year olds (from the term after their third birthday).
The Pre-School offers high quality provision, which includes:
- A safe, stimulating and friendly environment.
- Curriculum planning and policies, which help individual children work towards the Early Leaning Goals of the EYFS, as set by the DFE.
- Key workers, who help children reach their full potential.
- Highly qualified, experienced staff.

Aims and Objectives
The Pre-School aim to create a happy and secure and stimulating environment where children can enjoy learning through play, providing a foundation for starting school. We aim to help children develop enquiring minds, leading to questions and discussions.
The Pre-School give children the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in all areas of the curriculum. We also give children the opportunity to work together and show care and consideration for others.
At the Pre-School, we value parents/carers and will work together with them, taking time to listen and respond when needed. Each child has a diary, which will give the parent/carer insight into the child’s progress and interests at the Pre-School.
