Year 6 remote learning

Year 6 have been working exceptionally hard during this half term of remote learning and I am extremely proud of the work they have been producing. It has not been easy during this time, but the children in Year 6 have not been put off from applying themselves fully and showing grit and determination each day. The daily emails and FFI posts of work has really put a huge smile on my face during these strange times and I thank you all for this. I would like to say a huge thank you to the adults at home who are supporting the children in Year 6, your collaboration with the children and myself has allowed continuous progress to be made and ensuring learning is not being missed; again I thank you. Below is a selection of images which I have collated of work which the children have been doing both at home and in school following the remote learning structure. We have had a jam-packed half term in which we have covered all topic areas we would have done in school. There has been science experiments, volcano research, many pieces of writing such as the production of; newspaper articles, diary entries, adverts and much more. Year 6 have been enjoying the story of Goodnight Mr Tom, developing their skills within fractions as well as number and place value in maths and in PSHE thinking about qualities we are showing during this lockdown and how we can be there to support one another. Thank you again and I hope you enjoy looking at some of the fantastic work produced, keep it up! Mrs Watkins
