Fern Wales, Year 4 – Brain Tumour Research

We are incredibly proud of Fern and her fundraising efforts for Brain Tumour Research. With a target of £500, Fern has now surpassed this total and obtained donations over £1,700. This is such a great cause. Please read the text below from Fern.

“My name is Fern Wales and I’m in year 4. In November 2019 my dad was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumour. This has made me really sad because he’s too sick to do the things we used to do like ride my bike and go to the park. My dad can’t drive his car anymore and has had to give up his job. He had to have 2 surgeries on his brain and is having radiotherapy and chemotherapy to try and stop his tumour getting bigger. I have organised ‘Wear a Hat day’ at school to help raise money for Brain Tumour Research as there is currently no cure. I know my dad won’t be here forever but hopefully someone will be able to find a way to stop his tumour growing, so I can grow up with my dad. Please help me raise as much money as possible on my ‘Wear a Hat day’. I am selling pin badges (£1) and wristbands (£2) in the school reception.  Thank you for supporting my cause. Fern aged 9″.

We are hoping to reschedule the ‘Wear a Hat’ day that Fern had arranged, so that all children can help on her fundraising journey. In the meantime, please help Fern and Brain Tumour Research by clicking on the link below.
