Year 5 had a virtual visitor today from Chester Zoo. They interacted with Naiara, a Conservation Education Officer, who taught the class all about Rainforests and the animals you would find there. Year 5 have loved wearing hats today to support their classmate Fern and her family in their efforts to raise money for Brain Tumour Research. Year 4 have had a great day with visitor Alex. They have spent the whole day learning about the Vikings and the Anglo Saxons. They have learnt about their different houses, clothes, weapons, Gods, language and the places they came from.
The staff and students at St. Anne’s have had great fun this week taking part in the RUNUNITE campaign. Every day we have ran one mile and have followed the different themes of the RUNUNITE campaign. Year 6 took part in a very useful and interesting session with the Operation Encompass lead Jed last week. Similar to the previous session, children continued to focus on behaviours which are acceptable in our lives and behaviours that are not. Year 4 attended the Gateshead singing festival where they practised a wide range of different songs from different musicians. They then sang these on the stage at the Sage to a large audience! They did a fantastic job!

Year 4 have done their shopping and ate their breakfast. They’re now ready for the 3G swing and obstacle course.
Year 4 have been abseiling, built a shelter and learnt all about fires. They are now enjoying singing by a campfire.
