Year 5 and Year 6 lead an emotional liturgy telling the story of Holy Week from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday. We weren’t going to let the bad weather spoil our World Book Day at St Anne’s! Check out the pictures below to see how much fun we had! In year 3/4 it was Matilda themed. We know how much Matilda loves books so we made our own bookmarks! It was lots of fun!
Yesterday we were lucky enough to spend the morning with a skipping instructor. He taught us lots of new skipping techniques we had never heard of before (including one called the pretzel) and let us practice the old ones. What an amazing end to the day! The snow looked so tempting we just had to go outside and have some fun. Snowmen appeared all over the yard as the children rolled balls and built their bodies. We all had a fantastic time!

Yesterday year 3/4 went to the Centre For Life sceience facility in Newcastle. Our main focus was to learn about how the Vikings navigated around the world over one thousand years ago. Year 6 enjoyed their trip to SafetyWorks to learn all about making choices and keeping safe as they become older and more independent. They took part in workshops with the Fire Brigade, the Police, Paramedics, a Road Safety Officer and Metro staff. The workshops were very interactive, informative and most importantly fun!
