Each afternoon, year 3 have enjoyed doing our daily mile challenge. I have noticed a huge improvement in all the children’s efforts, stamina and confidence to complete the whole activity. I hope they enjoy continuing to thrive!!
Y3 visited Primavera today for our school trip to find out the process of making pizzas and understanding the workings of a kitchen. We got to look around the kitchen and see what equipment they use to prepare and cook the foods. What a fantastic morning we had on Tuesday watching and supporting all of the cyclists taking part in the Tour of Britain 2019. We made our own flags to cheer the cyclists on.
On Friday Year 3 made rock buns as part of our topic ‘scrumdiddlyumptious’! We had lots of fun weighing the ingredients, mixing it together and putting them in the oven. Most of all, we enjoyed eating them…so much so we forgot to take photos of them cooked and ready to eat!
Last week we had a visit from former police officer Jed Foster to talk about friendships and relationships. We took part in a variety of tasks around these topics as well as discussions of our understanding of how to manage and cope with friendships inside and outside of school.

Year 3 have had great fun dressing up as their favourite characters for World Book Day. Mad Hatter, Willy Wonka, Dumbledore to name a few, they all look wonderful! Great effort my children and parents!
