On Thursday Travis found the most enormous slug at school and decided to find out facts about it so he could build it a home and feed it. Year 1 and 2 had a fantastic day at the Hancock museum in Newcastle today on their trip. We went on a scavenger hunt, visited Dippy the dinosaur seeing his journey through time and even visited the planetarium for a fascinating look at potential life on Mars. Year 1 and 2 had a keep active slot this morning where we did yoga, a high intensity workout and a speed trial. Mr Cross who came to work with us said we were very good at yoga and super fast at our speed trials.

Year 2 enjoyed a fun filled afternoon at Cardinal Hume today taking part in lots of different sporting activities lead by the PE Ambassadors in Year 9. Well done to all of our children who took part.
We have been working in year 1 and 2 to complete some woodland animal collages for our display! We enjoyed using the coloured pieces to complete foxes, owls, flowers and rabbits.
Year 1 and 2 have been looking at different dinosaur teeth and how they are different depending on whether a dinosaur was a carnivore, herbivore or omnivore. We have been sorting the teeth into the correct hoops. We then also matched the type of dinosaur to carnivore or herbivore.
This afternoon as part of their Dinosaur Planet topic, Year 1 and 2 have been thinking about moving like a dinosaur! They have been charging, stomping, creeping and changing directions. Here are some pictures from our task:
