Year 4 enjoyed a taster judo session, playing some fun games and learning some fantastic self defence tricks.
Well done to all of the girls who participated in the Cheerleading Festival at Gateshead Leisure Centre last Wednesday. They worked super hard every Wednesday night in after school club to prepare for the festival and did St Anne’s proud on the day.
Year 1 and 2 have spent the morning at Cardinal Hume taking part in lots of different sports activities. The tasks were designed and lead by Year 9 Sports Leaders and the children really enjoyed it. They had lots of fun.

Well done to all of year 5 for taking part in the Hi-5 Netball Tournament on Wednesday afternoon. We had lots of good defending and excellent team work from all of the children. Group B won a fair players award for great sportsmanship, communication and effort.
Year 4 participated in the skipping festival alongside 6 other schools. We learnt a wide range of skipping techniques and we look forward to using them back in the playground at school. They all gave 100 percent and tried really hard!
Well done to the children in year 5 who have completed bike ability.
Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed the Sports Leadership Training at Cardinal Hume. The children were a credit to the school, showing everyone how committed, hard working, polite and well behaved they all were. We are looking forward to them putting their new skills into action at our Sports Council.
Year 3 had a great afternoon at Cardinal Hume taking part in a variety of sporting activities with other schools in the local area. Here are some photos of us getting stuck in!

Year 5 have started doing their daily mile. Everyday we go out into the yard and run for 12 consecutive minutes.
