This week Reception have been learning all about different things that grow. They have been looking at insects, plants and different types of food.
Reception took part in Easter activities which included decorating eggs and an Easter egg hunt in their garden.
Reception thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Birtley Fire Station.
We weren’t going to let the bad weather spoil our World Book Day at St Anne’s! Check out the pictures below to see how much fun we had! In year 3/4 it was Matilda themed. We know how much Matilda loves books so we made our own bookmarks! It was lots of fun!

Reception have started their new topic ‘people who help us’. They have enjoyed playing in our hospital, looking at X-rays and writing prescriptions.

In P.E Reception have been learning all about dance. They have been making their own dance moves and moving to different types of music.
In RE Reception have been learning about celebrations. We planned our own party, we decorated biscuits, made bunting, made paper chains and even made our own party hats.
Reception have been carrying on learning about dinosaurs. They have been labelling dinosaurs, cleaning them, making bones and even measuring dinosaur foot prints.
Reception have started their new topic Dinosaurs. They have been dressing up like dinosaurs, making dinosaur skeletons and even adding the correct amount of legs to the dinosaurs.
Reception and KS1 thoroughly enjoyed their Christmas party. They played different games including musical bumps, pass the parcel and they had a dancing competition. Thank you for all of the food kindly donated by parents and guardians, all of the children enjoyed it.
