Cookery Club

Year 1 and 2 Cookery Club enjoyed making fruit kebabs today. We prepared the fruit by washing, peeling and chopping; kiwi, oranges, grapes, strawberries and pineapple.   The children were particularly keen to prepare the fresh pineapple. Of course, eating the fruit kebabs was the best part! We’re all looking forward to next week.

Guide Dogs fundraising in Reception

The Reception children are raising money for their chosen charity – Guide Dogs. For one pound donation, the children will get to estimate how many sweets are in the glass. The closest estimate will win the sweets and the adorable puppy. Who will win it? The winner will be revealed at Friday’s Celebration assembly.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Through The Very Hungry Caterpillar, we have been learning about healthy eating…likes and dislikes…and beginning to explore what ‘being healthy’ means. We have been painting fruit and working together to make a fantastic wall display. In our funky fingers session we have been threading with leaves that caterpillars have eaten through in Mr Harrison’s garden! Read more about The Very Hungry Caterpillar[…]

Teddy Bear picnic

We have enjoyed learning about ‘bears’ this half term and decided a teddy bear picnic would be just the thing for the end of term. Our lovely Cook made us fish and chips, followed by ice cream…scrumptious and delicious! “This is the best day ever!” said Olivia.
